Rose in Black

Rose is a fabulous quality Oldenburg mare who competed herself to medium level in Germany, her dressage career cut short due to her owners work commitments. She has wonderful loose paces with an excellent ground covering walk. Her temperament is calm and sensible and we feel she will be a great asset to the stud.

Her sire is the famous Rohdiamant by Rubinstein 1. Rohdiamant competed at Grand Prix with Lisa Wilcox, who had winnings of 70,514 Euro's (further details on our stallions page.)

Her dam sire is Weiner Dompatz, (which crossed with Rubin Star N produced Dressage Grand Prix Champion Rossini), Weiner Dompatz sire is Gottchalk whose sire was Gottard from the famous G line. Rose produced a stunning colt foal by Rubin Star N on 24th April 2008.

Rose in Black produced a bay/black colt by Rosenstein on 2nd June.

Frankie is a compact colt with plenty of power from the hindquarters, lovely conformation and a delightful personality and that special "spark" needed to reach the top. He is turning black like Mum, He has inherited his mothers beautiful head and big kind eye.

With the blood of Rohdiamant on both sides of his pedigree, also Blue Hors Romanov, Werther and Akzent 1, he has the makings of a top dressage prospect. To make around 16.3hh.

We are delighted that Frankie was awarded the coveted Oldenburg Verband Premium which is awarded to just 15% of foals each year. We feel this chap is a very exciting prospect for a future in dressage. Sold to Barbara, we wish her every success in the future.
